The festival of Ganesh Chaturthi
Posted by Admin Dino, September 18, 2012
Lord Ganesha is lovingly worshipped by millions of people around the world as the deity of good luck and prosperity. The festival of Ganesh Chaturthi falls on September 19 this year and will be celebrated in India for 10 days. During this festival Ganesh idols are brought home and worshipped by families. Elaborate decorations are made with fresh flowers, glorious lighting and by offering sweets. Larger sized idols are mounted by communities in by-lanes and street corners. The idols vary in height from a few feet to several meters. Poojas (prayers) are performed daily and the 10-day celebration ends with large processions and immersion of these sacred idols in the sea.
You may proudly celebrate this festival by choosing the 'Lord Ganesha' themed design.
