• Selecting a Pediatrician

Posted by Admin Dino, June 5, 2012

Finding a good pediatrician is always a challenging ordeal and somehow word of mouth seems to be the preferred way to go.  Talking to other moms will help obtain feedback about the specialist that you are looking for. Nonetheless, there are several other factors to consider such as consultancy hours in the morning, late evening and weekends; proximity to your home; charges and what is covered by your insurance; how child friendly is the doctor’s clinic and how do the support staff treat you and your child.

The doctor’s philosophy of treating your child is equally important as it needs to match your needs. For example, does the doctor take your opinion in considering a treatment, does she believe in allopathy or herbal remedies or is she decisive and authoritative.

Thank you for validating my thought that the doctors philosophy should match mine.
