Today is Children's Day in India. A day for our children to do whatever they like. Children's day in India is celebrated on 14th November, Pandit Nehru's birthday, as a day of fun and frolic, a celebration of childhood, children and Nehruji's love for them. Pandit Nehru was the first Prime Minister of India.
As a celebration of childhood, our children are usually showered with the things and toys they love. Although children go to school on this day, the day is usually spent without studying and indeed focuses on having lots of fun. Schools will typically organize cultural events, a movie, games or even a magic show – all of which remain a surprise until the children get to school.
